The greater huntington park area chamber of commerce

President's message- SOnia Luz-chavez

In Looking To The Year 2016 Year There Is Much Business Progress That Should Be Looked As A Priority.

Whether It Is A Small Business Or Major Corporation, It Is All Business In One Community.

The Unity Of Gathering Together As We Did At Our 110th Anniversary Installation Dinner And Business Awards Banquet With Over 150 People In Attendance, Is A Clear Indication That Huntington Park Matters, Not Only To Me, As President Of The Chamber Of Commerce, But To Everyone Who Attended The Event.

The Chamber Of Commerce Has An Essence Been The Leader To Many Historical Events And Activities That Have Kept The City In The Positive Light.  As President Of The Chamber Of Commerce, I Will Strive To Continue Those Traditions, By Offering Support To The Chamber Staff.

The Board Of Directors Of The Chamber Of Commerce Will Have An Integral Role In The Community.  Many Of Us Who Decided To Become A Member Of The Chamber Of Commerce, Or A Committee Member And/Or Board Member, Did So, In The Best Interest Of Our Business And Community.

Our Organization Does Not Take Pride In Negative Matters Of The City.  Our Focus For 110 Years Has Been The Positive Promotion Of The Economic Growth And Prosperity Of Our Businesses.

It Is Important For Everyone, Including The Residents, And City Government Leaders To Understand Our Message As The Chamber Of Commerce – That Businesses Matter In The Community.  Businesses Providing A Certain Product Or Service To The Residents, Employees, Visitors, Shoppers, Students, Seniors – Are All Part Of What Help A City Progress.

The Major Events That Are The Chamber Of Commerce’s Life Support, Should Continue, Alongside The Welcoming Of New Businesses To Becoming Members Of The Chamber Of Commerce.

In Working With The Staff And Board Members, We Will Create Programs And Activities That Will Once Again Promote And Feature Our Businesses In The Community.

As A Long-Time Resident And Business Representative Of The Community, I Want To Help Develop Partnerships With The City And Other Entities That Will Bring Back Memories Of Shopping Experiences That I Had While Growing Up.
