CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESSES PRESENT SCHOLARSHIPS TO H.P. GRADUATING SENIORS

 

   Graduating seniors of Huntington Park High School and the Linda Marquez’s High School – Huntington Park Institute of Applied Medicine were once again awarded monetary-scholarships at their annual Awards Ceremonies through The Greater Huntington Park Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Scholarship-Program

   The Chamber together with the area businesses awarded approximately eight monetary-scholarships, ranging from $250.00 to $500.00.  The scholarships were rewarded to those eligible students who will pursue a business-major curriculum.

   Each of the scholarships bared the name of the participating business-sponsor and presented by Chamber President Sonia Luz-Chavez and Executive Director/CEO Leticia Martinez to each of the recipients.

   The Chamber of Commerce thanks the businesses for their support and helping a graduating senior continue their education. 

    The following Huntington Park High School recipients received the respective business scholarships:  Marco Perez – Crown Poly, Inc., Bryan Martinez – Brabant Realty & Management, Luis Rivera – HP Area Chamber of Commerce, and Jazmin Perez – Naka Cosmetics. 

    From the Linda Marquez’s High School – Huntington Park Institute of Applied Medicine were:  Vanessa Angel – Community Hospital, Daira Ruiz Cisneros – Health Care Partners, and Elena Monserrat Reyes Martinez – Care 1st Health Plan together with Pacific Dental Implants.

    Students were asked to apply by filling out a formal application, with a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or a member of the community, plus an essay of 300 words or less of “Why they would like to attend a University, College or Trade School, and How they would apply their education to the betterment of Huntington Park.”

 

 The Chamber of Commerce congratulates the recipients.
